Before You Start

You need an Ultra plan and Team owner access to invite or manage members. Owners control membership, billing-sensitive settings, connected workspace accounts, and other administrative changes.

Invite people by the email address they already use for their registered Agentic Workers account. If a teammate has not created an account yet, ask them to sign up first, then send the invite to that same email address.

Invite a Member

Open the Team workspace, go to Team settings, and use the member invitation area to enter the teammate email address. Confirm the address before sending so the invite lands on the account your teammate expects to use.

After sending, ask the teammate to accept the invite while signed in with the invited email address. If they belong to multiple workspaces, they should switch to the Team workspace before looking for shared agents, traces, integrations, or schedules. A trace is the step-by-step run log for an agent request.

Roles

Agentic Workers currently has two Team workspace roles: owner and member. Owners manage membership and workspace administration.

Members get full access to team agents and shared workspace resources. Use a trusted owner account for membership changes and access reviews.

Remove Members or Leave a Team

Owners can remove members from Team settings when someone no longer needs access. Removing a member stops their access to that Team workspace but does not delete their personal account.

Members can leave a Team workspace themselves. The owner cannot leave the team or be removed, so keep the owner account available for future access management.

Verify Access

After an invite is accepted, confirm the teammate appears in Team settings and can switch into the Team workspace. Have them open a shared agent or trace to verify they are working in the correct workspace.

Before production work, check that connected apps, ChatGPT account state, schedules, and billing expectations are set up under the Team workspace instead of a personal workspace.

Troubleshooting

If an invite is not accepted, confirm the teammate is signed in with the same registered email address that received the invite. Resend the invite from Team settings if the original email expired or was sent to the wrong address.

If a teammate cannot see shared work, confirm they accepted the invite and switched to the correct Team workspace. Agents, integrations, schedules, and traces are scoped to the active workspace.

If you cannot invite or remove someone, confirm your workspace is on Ultra and that you are a Team owner. Ask an existing owner to make the change if you only have member access.
